She composes and produces her own works, serves as Music Director for St. Augustine’s Parkland Anglican Church, and acts as vocal and creative consultant on community productions – most recently KPA’s Inside Out. She has also served as an accompanist for choirs, vocal groups, and churches throughout her career and looks forward to returning to teaching in the County of Parkland at KPA. Andrea will be offering instruction to all ages and levels, using Piano Adventures for beginners, but will instruct more experienced students in accordance with their learning style and ability. She aims to provide a solid base for music theory, practice, enjoyment, and appreciation of music overall.

A passionate teacher since 2011, Dahlia Wakefield offers vocal and beginner piano lessons, specializing in pop, rock, country, jazz, blues, and musical theatre, with a focus on performance readiness and confidence-building. Her students benefit from a mix of breathing & vocal warmups/exercises, technique, theory, and repertoire development tailored to their goals. Since graduating with Distinction from the Grant MacEwan Music program in Vocal Performance, Dahlia has worked full-time as a versatile musician, performing lead and backup vocals and playing acoustic guitar. She is a member of multiple bands and also performs solo, sings in duos & trios, freelances for various tribute shows, and is a session vocalist for various recording artists.  An accomplished songwriter and music promoter, Dahlia is dedicated to a lifelong journey in all facets of music.

She has also performed with various Celtic groups at special events such as St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, weddings, and the Newfoundland Folk Festival.

In addition to her performance career, Danna is passionate about teaching, working with students of all ages. She finds particular joy in teaching early childhood music education, as sharing the language of music resonates deeply with her. She is a certified Suzuki ECE educator, further reflecting her commitment to nurturing musical growth in young learners.
