KPA School of Music FAQ’S

Registration for KPA’s School of Music is open at any time; however, lessons begin at the start of the month to align with scheduling and tuition withdrawals.

The music program runs September through May and includes both a Winter Recital and a Spring Recital. Private lessons consist of one 30-minute session per week.

Lesson placement is based on teacher availability.

To withdraw, please email hello@kpacollective.com with two weeks’ notice. Tuition for those two weeks remains payable, and we encourage students to attend their final lessons.

If you provide more than 12 hours’ notice, your teacher will offer a make-up lesson. If less than 12 hours’ notice is given, the lesson will have tuition applied and no makeup lesson will be scheduled.

If your teacher cancels, you will be provided a substitute or a make-up class.

KPA remains open on PSD70 PD Days. For statutory holidays, please check the KPA Music Calendar and coordinate with your teacher for any needed make-ups.

All families must complete online registration and enroll in Auto-Pay.

  • A $50 annual registration fee (non-refundable) is due at the time of registration and covers materials used during lessons.
  • Monthly tuition is $155.00 per month and is automatically withdrawn on the 1st of each month.
  • Tuition covers one 30-minute lesson per week throughout the September–May season.

Yes! We encourage strong communication between parents and teachers. Most instructors share contact info and send lesson notes via email.

Throughout the year, KPA offers a variety of fundraising opportunities for all performers. Depending on the fundraiser, participants can earn direct profits, which can be applied to future fees.
